Challenge
Winifred Haun & Dancers is an award-winning Chicago & Oak Park based contemporary dance company whose mission is to engage the community by providing positive dance experiences for as many humans as possible. To do this, they choreograph new dances, present dance concerts, teach dance classes and workshops, organize flash mobs, and more. WH&D needed a way to translate the offline dance experience to the online website experience. Their old website was static and outdated and did not allow for easy updates.
Strategy + Results
Our team worked WH&D to design a website experience that would be both fun and interactive, yet informative. We defined and refined their existing branding and identified the core needs of the end user of the website. We took them through a user experience journey which included research of the key personas, wireframing, and testing. The functionality of the website was expanded to enable online giving and event marketing. We also simplified the navigation of the website making it easier to find information and view past performances.
