Finishing what has been started can be difficult sometimes and we understand that. It is common for projects to have their particular constraints. Any team needs a person who is capable of defining and organizing the team’s tasks, prioritizing them as well as taking action on what is important. Cassie is that person as she always strives to stay on top of things. Cassie McNeill is our Marketing and Project Coordinator on the team. Let’s get to know her (and her lion-looking cat!) and find out how she manages her day-to-day work at one of the creative agencies in Chicago.
1. What is your main role at That’s So Creative?
Marketing and Project Coordinator
2. How long have you been working in Marketing and Project Management?
6-7 years, including my work at graduate school!
3. What does a typical day look like for you as a Marketing and Project Coordinator?
Early mornings with Chai Tea Latte, my cat Macaroni meow yelling for pets, and a YouTube video essay! When I log in for the day, emails and slack messages are typically buzzing. I go in between constant communication with team members and clients all day. At That’s So Creative, I check and respond to emails, review my calendar, organize tasks, attend and facilitate meetings, curate and schedule content for social media, and creatively brainstorm high-level strategies.
4. What is your favorite project so far working with That’s So Creative?
A CBD company that was filled with a lot of creativity, teamwork, and a great flow of communications!
5. What has your experience been with That’s So Creative’s company culture?
Creatively speaking, there are many projects you can be a part of. It makes the culture feel open and ready for new challenges!
6. How have you grown professionally while on our team?
I have grown in how to properly use different tools, communicate efficiently with teams, and work on my time management skills. Before That’s So Creative, I was unsure of my abilities because of my age, but now I feel confident in everything I do, even things I don’t understand…I am up for the challenge!
7. As a Marketing and Project Coordinator, what is your go-to tool? Why?
That’s a great question; personally, it depends on the client and project but any communications or organizing tool like ClickUp, Slack, calendar apps, etc.
8. What are your favorite things to do outside of work?
Playing video games, going to a cool restaurant, or watching a YouTube video lol.
9. What’s your workplace motto?
Breathe, don’t rush, and go with the culture! I used to have too high of expectations for myself. You can’t be too hard on yourself, especially if you try your best.
